How Encoder Feedback Improves Drive Performance
By monitoring encoder signals directly from the motor, the PG-X3 allows the drive to detect speed variations caused by changing loads. The drive can then adjust output frequency and torque more accurately, helping maintain stable speed, improved responsiveness and higher control performance.
The PG-X3 is intended for line driver encoders. For applications using open collector encoder outputs, Yaskawa specifies the use of the PG-B3 option instead.
