The Mersen K1-2PG320, product code 44120208, is a premium Type 1+2 Surge Protection Device (SPD) designed to protect single-phase TT and TN-S (1Ph+N) electrical installations against lightning strikes and transient overvoltages. As part of the Mersen Surge-Trap® K1 Series, it combines coordinated line-to-neutral (L-N) and neutral-to-earth (N-PE) protection within a compact, pluggable two-pole assembly for installation at the main distribution board.
Designed for 277 V AC systems, the K1-2PG320 features a 1+1 protection configuration, a maximum continuous operating voltage (Uc) of 320 V AC, and replaceable protection cartridges for simplified servicing. Its coordinated protection provides dependable safeguarding of sensitive electrical equipment against both lightning currents and switching surges.
With a 12.5 kA lightning impulse current (Iimp), 50 kA maximum discharge current (Imax), 20 kA nominal discharge current (In) and a voltage protection level of ≤1.5 kV, the K1-2PG320 complies with IEC 61643-11 and is suitable as the first level of surge protection in low-voltage installations.
The Mersen K1-2PG320 provides coordinated protection across both line-to-neutral and neutral-to-earth conductors, safely diverting lightning currents and switching surges away from sensitive electrical equipment.
