The IMO B6CRC1N06-30-A is a compact Residual Current Circuit Breaker with Overcurrent Protection (RCBO) designed to protect individual electrical circuits against earth leakage, overload and short-circuit faults. By combining residual current and overcurrent protection within a single device, it simplifies installation and helps maximise the available space inside consumer units, distribution boards and electrical control panels.
Part of the IMO B6 compact RCBO range, this model incorporates Type A residual current protection. It can detect sinusoidal AC and pulsating DC residual currents, making it suitable for modern circuits supplying electronic equipment, LED drivers, switched-mode power supplies, appliances and control devices containing semiconductor components.
Featuring a 6 A rated current, 30 mA residual operating current, Type C tripping characteristic and a 6 kA short-circuit breaking capacity, the B6CRC1N06-30-A is particularly well suited to lighting, control and other lower-current circuits that may experience moderate starting currents. Its compact single-module format enables straightforward DIN rail installation where enclosure space is limited.
The IMO B6CRC1N06-30-A continuously monitors the connected circuit for excessive current and current leaking to earth. When a qualifying overload, short circuit or residual current fault occurs, the RCBO rapidly disconnects the electrical supply to help reduce the risk of electric shock, equipment damage and electrical fires.
Its Type A residual current sensing is particularly useful in modern installations because electronic devices can generate pulsating DC leakage currents that conventional Type AC devices are not designed to recognise. The Type C operating characteristic also makes the unit suitable for circuits containing equipment with moderate inrush currents, including LED drivers, transformers, contactor coils and control power supplies.
