Why Choose the Lovato GLCMB0200D024UL Motorised Changeover Switch?
The Lovato GLCMB0200D024UL is a UL 1008-certified motorised three-pole changeover switch designed to transfer electrical loads safely between two independent power sources. Its 200 A current rating and 24 V DC motor operator make it particularly suitable for automatic transfer switch panels, standby generator systems and battery-backed control installations.
Part of the Lovato GLCM range, the GLCMB0200D024UL combines a mechanically interlocked changeover mechanism with remote motorised operation. When integrated with a suitable automatic transfer controller, it can transfer a three-phase load between utility and alternative supplies while preventing both sources from being connected simultaneously.
The switch carries cULus certification under UL certificate E501475 and is manufactured for transfer-switch applications requiring dependable operation, high short-circuit performance and straightforward switchboard integration.
Key Advantages
UL 1008-certified for transfer-switch applications.
200 A current rating for demanding commercial and industrial loads.
24 V DC motor supply suited to battery-backed ATS and generator controllers.
Three-pole configuration for three-phase electrical systems.

UL 1008 transfer-switch certification.
cULus approved.
200 A IEC conventional free-air thermal current.
24 V DC rated motor operating voltage.
1000 V rated insulation voltage.
12 kV rated impulse withstand voltage.
Suitable for remote and automatic operation.
Manual emergency operation capability.
Defined source I, centre-off and source II switching positions.
Screw-mounted construction with front-accessible power terminals.
Designed for integration with compatible automatic transfer controllers.
UL 1008 Break-Before-Make Transfer Technology
The Lovato GLCMB0200D024UL uses a motor-driven break-before-make changeover sequence. During a transfer, the connected load is disconnected from the active source before the alternative source is engaged. This controlled centre-off operation helps prevent accidental electrical connection between two independent supplies.
Its 24 V DC motor operator is particularly useful in generator and emergency-power systems because the switching mechanism can be powered from a battery-backed control supply during a utility failure. A compatible transfer controller can monitor both sources and command the switch when voltage, frequency or phase conditions fall outside configured limits.
Manual operation is also available for commissioning, maintenance or emergency use. The mechanical interlocking arrangement ensures that source I and source II cannot be closed at the same time.
Typical Applications
UL 1008 automatic transfer switch panels.
Mains-to-generator changeover systems.
Emergency and standby power installations.
Battery-backed generator control panels.
Industrial manufacturing facilities.
Commercial buildings and distribution systems.
Hospitals and healthcare facilities.
Data centres and telecommunications sites.
Water treatment and infrastructure installations.
Critical-process and life-safety power systems.
