The Mersen HP10M6 is a compact, high-performance gPV photovoltaic fuse link engineered specifically to protect solar photovoltaic systems against line faults, ground faults and damaging overcurrents. As part of the proven Mersen HelioProtection® HP10M series, it provides dependable protection for photovoltaic string wiring, combiner boxes, inverter inputs and associated DC equipment.
Rated at 6 A and 1000 V DC, the HP10M6 is designed for the relatively low fault-current conditions produced by photovoltaic arrays. Its low minimum breaking-current capability of approximately 1.35 times the fuse rated current enables safe circuit interruption while helping protect modules, cables, connectors and connected solar equipment.
The HP10M6 features a compact 10.4 × 38.1 mm cylindrical body with tin-plated copper ferrule terminals for clip mounting. Its robust GMG construction withstands continuous current and temperature cycling, supporting reliable long-term operation in grid-connected and off-grid photovoltaic installations.
Photovoltaic arrays continue producing DC current whenever sufficient light is available, including during some electrical fault conditions. Specialist gPV fuses are therefore required to interrupt low-level reverse currents and high short-circuit currents before they damage modules, cables, connectors or connected equipment.
The Mersen HP10M6 combines low fault-current interruption capability with a high breaking capacity.
