The Mersen J220969 is a Protistor® BS88-4 high speed semiconductor fuse designed to provide comprehensive protection for sensitive power semiconductor devices. Featuring a gR operating class, it provides both overload and short-circuit protection for power electronics including IGBTs, thyristors, diodes and rectifiers, making it ideal for demanding industrial applications.
Manufactured in a 17 × 49 mm British Standard fuse-link, the J220969 combines an 80 A current rating with a 690 V AC IEC voltage rating. It offers extremely high breaking capacity, excellent current limitation and reliable semiconductor protection whilst enabling selective coordination within distribution circuits. The fuse complies with IEC 60269-1, IEC 60269-4 and BS88-4 standards.
