The Mersen K300550 (PC71UD13C450D1A) is a premium square body high-speed semiconductor fuse from the Protistor® Size 71 series, engineered to provide superior protection for modern power electronic equipment. Featuring an ultra-fast aR operating characteristic, it is specifically designed to protect IGBTs, thyristors, diodes and other semiconductor devices against damaging short-circuit currents.
Rated at 450 A with a 1250 V AC IEC / 1300 V AC UL voltage rating, the K300550 is suitable for high-voltage industrial applications including medium-voltage drives, renewable energy converters, UPS systems and industrial power converters. Its robust ceramic body, silver-plated contacts and solidified silica sand construction deliver excellent current limitation, very low let-through energy and dependable long-term performance.
The fuse is supplied with DIN 110 blade terminals and an integrated striker indicator, allowing remote indication when used with a compatible microswitch. Its high interrupting capacity and low I²t characteristics help minimise semiconductor damage while reducing costly equipment downtime.
