The Mersen NH22GTR160KVA is a specialist NH size 2 gTr transformer fuse-link engineered to provide dependable protection for 160 kVA low-voltage transformers. Rated at 231 A and 400 V AC, it is specifically designed for transformer protection where conventional general-purpose fuse-links are not suitable.
Its gTr operating characteristic has been developed to match the electrical and thermal characteristics of distribution transformers. This allows the fuse-link to withstand transformer magnetising inrush currents and temporary overload conditions while providing reliable protection against sustained overloads and short-circuit faults. The characteristic also provides excellent selectivity when coordinated with downstream NH gG fuse-links.
Manufactured to the DIN NH standard, the NH22GTR160KVA features a robust ceramic body, silver-plated copper blade contacts, live gripping lugs and a centre-mounted indicator for rapid identification of fuse operation.
