This self-powered monitoring relay continuously checks a 600 V AC three-phase supply and changes the state of its output relay when a monitored fault is detected. Adjustable asymmetry and timing controls allow the protection settings to be matched to motors, machinery and control systems, helping reduce the risk of overheating, reverse rotation and unexpected equipment failure.
With an adjustable 5–15% voltage asymmetry threshold, phase-loss detection and automatic resetting, the PMV40A600 provides effective protection for high-voltage industrial installations. Its compact two-module enclosure and 35 mm DIN rail mounting enable straightforward installation inside electrical control panels, switchboards and machinery cabinets.
Voltage asymmetry can cause three-phase motors to draw uneven currents, lose efficiency and generate excessive heat. The Lovato PMV40A600 continuously supervises the relationship between the three phases and operates its output relay when the configured asymmetry limit is exceeded.
