The Chint NC1-9511Z-110V is a three-pole general-purpose AC contactor from the widely used NC1 series, rated at 95 A in AC-3 duty for switching three-phase motor loads up to 45 kW at 400 V. It is designed for motor control centres, distribution boards and industrial control panels.
It has three main poles plus a built-in 1 NO + 1 NC auxiliary contact for control and interlocking, and is operated by a 110 V DC control coil (the 'Z' suffix denotes a DC-operated coil). The NC1 range is manufactured to IEC 60947-4-1.
A contactor is an electrically operated switch used to make and break power circuits under load, most commonly to start and stop three-phase motors. Energising the control coil closes the main poles; de-energising it opens them, so the contactor can be driven from a control circuit, PLC or overload relay.
