As part of the Carlo Gavazzi PPC01 monitoring relay series, it provides comprehensive supervision of three-phase power systems in industrial automation, machinery and electrical control applications.
The relay is designed for 208–240 V AC three-phase supplies and operates at 50–60 Hz. It supports both three-wire three-phase and four-wire three-phase plus neutral systems, with selectable nominal line voltages of 208 V, 220 V, 230 V and 240 V AC. The monitored supply also provides the relay's operating power.
The PPC01DM23 provides two SPDT electromechanical relay outputs, allowing separate indication or control of different alarm conditions. Overvoltage, undervoltage, asymmetry and tolerance thresholds can be adjusted from 2% to 22%, with two independent alarm delays adjustable from 0.1 s to 30 s. Its compact 36 mm wide plug-in housing is designed for an Undecal socket.
Three-phase monitoring relays continuously supervise electrical supplies and provide a control response when abnormal phase or voltage conditions are detected. This helps automation systems identify missing phases, incorrect phase sequence, excessive voltage imbalance and voltage deviations before these conditions can adversely affect connected machinery.
