Why Choose the Carlo Gavazzi DBB01DM24 True Delay-on-Release Timer?
The Carlo Gavazzi DBB01DM24 is a capacitor-powered true delay-on-release timer relay designed to maintain two changeover outputs for a controlled period after its power supply is removed. As part of the Carlo Gavazzi DBB01 timer series, it provides dependable timed switching for industrial machinery, automation equipment and electrical control systems.
When power is applied, the relay energises automatically. Removing the supply starts the selected timing period, during which both output contacts remain energised before releasing at the end of the delay. Because its release delay is capacitor powered, the timer performs this function without a separate trigger input or continued external supply during timing.
With four selectable timing ranges covering 0.1–600 s, a wide 24–240 V AC/DC supply and an 8 A DPDT relay output, the DBB01DM24 is ideal for controlled shutdown and run-on applications requiring two changeover contacts. Its 22.5 mm DIN-rail housing enables straightforward installation inside industrial control panels.
Flexible 8 A DPDT relay output with two changeover contacts.
Four timing ranges selectable using internal DIP switches.
Automatic timing start when the power supply is removed.

Carlo Gavazzi DBB01 true delay-on-release timer series.
Four selectable ranges covering 0.1–600 s.
24–240 V AC/DC combined supply range.
DPDT relay output rated at 8 A at 250 V AC for resistive loads.
Timing repeatability of ≤ 0.2%.
Knob-adjustable delay setting with DIP-switch range selection.
Green LED indication for power-supply status.
DIN-rail housing with screw-terminal connections.
True Delayed Release with Two Changeover Contacts
A true delay-on-release timer uses stored internal energy to keep its relay energised for a preset period after supply power is removed. This makes it suitable for applications where a controlled delay must continue even though the initiating power source is no longer present.
The DBB01DM24 begins timing automatically following supply interruption and releases both changeover contacts when the selected period expires. If power returns before the relay releases, the timing cycle resets and the relay remains energised, supporting reliable multi-circuit control in automated shutdown and run-on systems.
Typical Applications
Delayed machinery shutdown sequences.
Fan, blower and pump run-on control.
Simultaneous switching of two control circuits.
Motor control centres and electrical panels.
Packaging and production machinery.
Lighting, alarms and ventilation systems.
