Why Choose the nVent HOFFMAN DI2006R5 Inner Door?

The nVent HOFFMAN DI2006R5 is a robust mild steel inner door for floor-standing electrical enclosures, designed to provide an additional hinged mounting surface behind a standard or glazed front door. As part of the nVent HOFFMAN DI inner door series, it allows displays, indicators and control equipment to remain accessible while covering other components and helping prevent unauthorised access.

The DI2006R5 provides a practical way to create two levels of access within an industrial enclosure. When installed in its most forward position, up to 80 mm of mounting space is available between the inner and outer doors. The inner door can also be adjusted in depth in 25 mm increments, allowing the installation to be configured around the equipment mounted inside the enclosure.

Designed for 2000 × 600 mm floor-standing enclosures, the DI2006R5 has actual dimensions of approximately 1953 × 565 × 53 mm. It is manufactured from 1.5 mm mild steel and finished with a durable RAL 7035 light grey structured powder coating. Two 3 mm double-bit locks provide controlled access to equipment installed behind the inner door.

Flexible Internal Equipment Access for Industrial Enclosures

Inner doors provide a useful secondary mounting plane inside industrial electrical enclosures. The nVent HOFFMAN DI2006R5 enables switches, indicators, displays and other operator-accessible equipment to be positioned behind the main enclosure door while components requiring restricted access remain concealed behind the inner door.

The adjustable mounting depth provides flexibility when arranging equipment, while the enclosure mounting plate remains available behind the inner door for additional components. This makes the DI2006R5 particularly useful for panel builders and automation engineers designing control systems that require separate levels of operator and maintenance access.

Typical Applications

  • Floor-standing industrial electrical enclosures.
  • Power distribution and control cabinets.
  • Industrial automation and machine control systems.
  • Mounting displays, indicators and operator controls.
  • Applications requiring separate operator and maintenance access levels.
