The CHINT NX3-16S is a robust 5 × 5 dual RCD metal consumer unit designed for safe and flexible electrical distribution in residential, commercial and similar installations. As part of the CHINT NX3 metal consumer unit series, it combines two 63 A, 30 mA RCDs with a 100 A double-pole main switch to provide a practical split-load distribution solution.
Designed around the requirements of Amendment 3 of BS 7671:2008, the NX3 range uses a steel enclosure and is manufactured in accordance with BS EN 61439-3 requirements for household and similar distribution boards. The NX3-16S is also high-integrity ready, giving installers additional flexibility when configuring circuits and compatible protective devices.
The 5 × 5 configuration provides two groups of five outgoing ways protected by separate 63 A, 30 mA RCDs. A 100 A double-pole main switch provides incoming isolation, making the NX3-16S a convenient foundation for configuring multiple final circuits in domestic and light commercial electrical installations.
