Why Choose the Rittal SK3313.420 LCP Rack DX?
The Rittal SK3313.420 LCP Rack DX is a high-performance direct-expansion rack cooling system designed for precise thermal management of one or two IT racks. Delivering up to 12 kW cooling output, it combines an integrated air/refrigerant heat exchanger with an inverter-controlled compressor to provide demand-based cooling for servers, storage systems and network equipment.
The cooling output is continuously adjustable across a 3–12 kW modulation range, allowing the system to respond efficiently as IT heat loads change. Four energy-efficient EC fan modules provide up to 4,800 m³/h of unimpeded airflow, while redundant air-side temperature sensing and control of the server inlet temperature support dependable operating conditions for critical equipment.
Measuring 300 mm wide × 2000 mm high × 1200 mm deep, the SK3313.420 is designed for flush installation alongside compatible Rittal VX IT enclosures. It operates from a 380–480 V AC three-phase, 50/60 Hz supply, includes an integrated SNMP card for Ethernet monitoring and requires an external condenser to transfer absorbed heat away from the installation room.

Precision Direct-Expansion Cooling for High-Density IT
Modern servers, storage arrays and network equipment can generate concentrated heat loads that are difficult to manage using room-level cooling alone. The Rittal SK3313.420 is installed directly alongside the server rack, drawing warm exhaust air from the rear, cooling it through the integrated air/refrigerant heat exchanger and supplying conditioned air towards the front of the 482.6 mm (19") equipment level across the height of the enclosure.
Four EC fans and an inverter-controlled compressor allow cooling performance to adapt continuously between 3 and 12 kW. The absorbed thermal energy is transferred to an external condenser rather than discharged into the data centre room, while integrated SNMP monitoring provides access to operating parameters and alarms over Ethernet for integration into professional IT infrastructure management systems.
