ABB JSTD1-B 2TLA020007R3100 Safeball is an IP67 ergonomic safety control device with 1 NO and 1 NC independent contacts, four 0.2 m connection wires and a maximum resistive load of 30 V DC at 2 A for one-hand and two-hand machine control applications.
Why Choose the ABB JSTD1-B 2TLA020007R3100 Safeball?
The ABB JSTD1-B 2TLA020007R3100 is an ergonomic Safeball safety control device designed for one-hand and, particularly, two-hand machine control applications. Part of the ABB Jokab Safety JSTD1 series, its spherical design incorporates two internal push-buttons that must both be actuated, helping minimise the risk of unintended machine operation.
The JSTD1-B contains 1 NO and 1 NC independent contact and is supplied with four 0.2 m wires for direct connection into an enclosure. Its ergonomic shape offers several grip possibilities and requires an activation force of approximately 2 N, supporting comfortable and responsive operation in repetitive industrial processes.
With a maximum resistive contact load of 30 V DC, 2 A, an IP67 protection rating and a robust polypropylene body, the JSTD1-B is designed for demanding industrial environments. Two Safeballs can be used together with an appropriate safety controller to create a supervised two-hand control system that keeps both of the operator's hands away from hazardous machine movement during operation.
Key Advantages

Reliable Two-Hand Control for Industrial Machinery
The ABB Safeball concept uses two internal push-buttons within each spherical actuator. Both buttons must be operated to activate the device, helping reduce the likelihood of accidental machine starts. For two-hand control applications, two Safeballs are normally installed so that the operator must use both hands simultaneously, keeping them away from hazardous machine movement.
When the Safeballs are connected to an appropriate supervised safety controller, releasing one or more of the required push-buttons produces a stop signal. The ergonomic spherical design, low operating force and flexible mounting possibilities make the JSTD1-B particularly suitable for machinery requiring frequent operator-initiated production cycles.
