The Carlo Gavazzi CA30CLN25BP is an advanced M30 capacitive proximity sensor with remote teach-in, designed for reliable level and presence detection in industrial automation, plastics processing and materials handling applications. Part of the Carlo Gavazzi CA30CLN TRIPLESHIELD™ series, it combines a long sensing range with automatic NPN/PNP output detection and configurable normally open or normally closed operation.
The CA30CLN25BP provides a 25 mm rated sensing distance with an adjustable 4–25 mm sensing range. Its remote teach-in functionality simplifies sensor adjustment after installation and allows the detection characteristics to be adapted to the application. Capacitive technology makes the sensor particularly effective for detecting plastics, rubber, pellets, powders, granulates and other materials with relatively low dielectric constants.
Designed for non-flush mounting, the CA30CLN25BP operates from a 10–40 V DC supply and automatically adapts to an NPN or PNP load. Its configurable NO/NC switching, 2 m PVC cable, M30 × 91 mm plastic housing, TRIPLESHIELD™ technology and IP68 protection provide a flexible and durable sensing solution for demanding machinery and process applications.
Capacitive proximity sensors detect changes in capacitance when material enters the sensing field, enabling detection of both conductive and non-conductive targets. The CA30CLN25BP is particularly suited to level control involving plastic and rubber materials, including pellets and recycled material where dependable detection can be challenging because of low dielectric constants and air gaps between the material.
Remote teach-in allows the sensing characteristics to be adjusted without relying on a conventional local potentiometer at the sensing point. Combined with automatic NPN/PNP load detection and configurable NO/NC operation, this gives machine builders and automation engineers a highly adaptable sensor for level control, conveying, dosing and material-processing systems.
