Why Choose the Carlo Gavazzi CLE1 Conductive Level Electrode?
The Carlo Gavazzi CLE1 is a 1000 mm basic conductive level electrode designed for liquid-level sensing applications with compatible Carlo Gavazzi conductive level probe heads and controllers. Manufactured from stainless steel and designed for direct contact with conductive liquids, it provides a simple and dependable sensing element for tanks, reservoirs, wells and industrial liquid-management systems.
The CLE1 operates according to the conductive sensing principle, where contact between the electrode and an electrically conductive liquid allows a compatible level-control system to detect the presence of the liquid at the electrode position. Multiple electrodes can therefore be installed at different heights to establish minimum, maximum or intermediate level points.
With a 1000 mm probe length, IP68 protection at the electrode connection and an operating temperature capability from -20 to +90 °C, the CLE1 is suitable for demanding level-monitoring installations. This basic CLE1 version is supplied without electrode insulation and is intended as a fixed-length electrode rather than for further extension.

Reliable Conductive Liquid-Level Detection
Conductive level sensing uses the electrical conductivity of a liquid to determine whether the liquid has reached a defined sensing point. When the liquid contacts the CLE1 electrode, a compatible Carlo Gavazzi probe and level controller can detect the resulting conductive path and use this information for indication, alarm, pump or valve control.
Several electrodes can be positioned at different heights to provide multiple sensing points. Carlo Gavazzi specifies three electrodes for a CLH3 probe head and five electrodes for a CLH5 probe head, allowing the sensing arrangement to be configured for the requirements of the associated conductive level-control system.
