Why Choose the Carlo Gavazzi CLH3 Conductive Level Probe Head?

The Carlo Gavazzi CLH3 is a compact and flexible conductive level probe head designed for detecting the level of conductive liquids in tanks, vessels and industrial process systems. As part of the Carlo Gavazzi CLH conductive level sensor series, it accommodates up to three electrodes and can be combined with a suitable Carlo Gavazzi level control unit to create a reliable liquid level monitoring system.

The CLH3 uses the conductive sensing principle and features a durable polypropylene probe head with screw-terminal electrode connections. Electrode lengths can be selected and extended to suit the installation, while both isolated and unisolated electrode options are available. This flexible arrangement makes the system suitable for applications including overfill detection, dry-run protection and automatic pump control.

Designed for industrial environments, the CLH3 probe head has an IP65 housing, an operating temperature range of -20 to +90 °C and a 1½-inch pipe thread. Compatible stainless-steel electrodes are ordered separately, allowing the probe configuration and sensing levels to be tailored to the individual application.

Reliable Conductive Level Monitoring for Industrial Liquids

Conductive level sensing detects the presence of an electrically conductive liquid between sensing electrodes and a reference electrode. When the liquid reaches a selected electrode, the associated level controller detects the conductive path and can provide the required switching action for alarms, pumps or process-control equipment.

The Carlo Gavazzi CLH3 provides a flexible three-electrode mounting platform that allows sensing points to be positioned according to the required liquid levels. Combined with suitable electrodes and a compatible control unit, it can provide dependable high-level, low-level, filling, emptying and pump-protection functions across industrial liquid handling systems.

Typical Applications

  • Conductive liquid level monitoring in tanks and vessels.
  • Automatic pump filling and emptying control.
  • Pump dry-run protection.
  • Tank overfill detection and alarm systems.
  • Water and wastewater level control.
  • Industrial process and liquid handling systems.
