Dual-Channel Non-Contact Guard Monitoring
The MC88CH2OLA2 monitors machine guard position using magnetic actuation rather than a mechanically operated key or plunger. When the associated magnetic actuator moves into or out of the sensor's operating range, its two normally open reed contacts change state, enabling compatible safety logic to monitor the position of the protective guard.
The MC88C range can be paired with MC88CM1, MC88CM2 or MC88CM3 magnetic actuators to provide different assured operating distances. The 18 mm switch-on and 30 mm switch-off distances specified for the MC88CH2OLA2 correspond to operation with the MC88CM3 actuator when the sensor and actuator are correctly aligned. When correctly incorporated with suitable safety logic, MC88C sensors can be used in applications up to Category 4.
