Reliable Through-Beam Detection for Industrial Automation
Through-beam photoelectric sensing uses a dedicated transmitter and receiver positioned opposite one another. The corresponding transmitter directs modulated infrared light towards the MPFR-D18-4C, and interruption of this optical beam is detected by the receiver and evaluated by the separate MPF amplifier.
The separate-head arrangement enables reliable detection across relatively large distances while keeping the sensing heads compact. With its 15 m operating distance, 4° optical angle and IP67 D18 housing, the MPFR-D18-4C is particularly suitable for industrial doors, gates, machine openings, conveyors and other applications requiring dependable presence or obstruction detection.
