Why Choose the Carlo Gavazzi MPFR-M14-4 Photoelectric Receiver?
The Carlo Gavazzi MPFR-M14-4 is a robust through-beam photoelectric receiver designed for dependable object, presence and obstruction detection in industrial automation systems. Part of the Carlo Gavazzi MPF photoelectric sensing range, it works with a corresponding transmitter and compatible amplifier to form a complete through-beam detection system.
The MPFR-M14-4 provides a rated operational sensing distance of 15 m when used with the appropriate transmitter and features a focused 4° optical angle. It detects 880 nm modulated infrared light, making it suitable for reliable sensing across industrial doors, gates, conveyors and machine openings.
This version uses a durable M14 stainless-steel cylindrical threaded housing with an integral cable connection. Its IP67 protection rating makes the receiver suitable for demanding industrial environments where compact construction, mechanical durability and reliable long-range sensing are required.

Reliable Through-Beam Detection for Industrial Systems
Through-beam photoelectric sensing uses a separate transmitter and receiver positioned opposite one another. The corresponding transmitter projects modulated infrared light towards the MPFR-M14-4, and interruption of the optical beam is detected by the receiver and evaluated by the associated MPF amplifier.
This sensing arrangement provides reliable detection over relatively long distances while keeping the sensing heads compact. The combination of a 15 m operational distance, narrow 4° optical angle, stainless-steel M14 housing and IP67 environmental protection makes the MPFR-M14-4 particularly suitable for industrial doors, gates, conveyors and automated machinery.
