Why Choose the Pizzato NS H3TE1SQK-F40 Safety Locking Switch?

The Pizzato NS H3TE1SQK-F40 is an advanced RFID safety interlock switch with guard locking designed for monitoring protective guards and controlling access to hazardous areas of industrial machinery. Part of the Pizzato NS series, it combines electronic actuator detection, mechanical guard locking and redundant safety outputs in a compact technopolymer housing.

Supplied with the VN NS-F40 low-level coded RFID actuator, the NS H3TE1SQK-F40 provides reliable non-contact detection of the associated machine guard. The F40 actuator family uses low-level coding, making it suitable for applications where interchangeable coded actuators are appropriate within the machine's safety design.

This configuration uses the H working principle, in which the actuator is locked when the electromagnet is energised. Mode 2 operation provides active OS safety outputs when the protective guard is closed, while the rear escape-release button provides a means of releasing the guard from inside a protected area. An M12 8-pole connector supports series connection using compatible Y-connectors.

Key Advantages

  • Combines RFID guard monitoring and mechanical guard locking in one compact device.
  • VN NS-F40 low-level coded RFID actuator provides reliable non-contact guard detection.
  • H working principle locks the actuator when the electromagnet is energised.
  • Maximum NS series actuator holding force of 2100 N.
  • 2 redundant OS1–OS2 safety outputs support integration with modern safety controllers.
  • Rear escape-release button provides an emergency exit function from inside guarded areas.
  • M12 8-pole connector supports convenient wiring and series connection with compatible Y-connectors.
  • IP67 / IP69K protection supports operation in demanding industrial environments.

Key Features

  • Pizzato NS series safety locking switch.
  • Supplied complete with VN NS-F40 low-level coded RFID actuator.
  • Technopolymer housing.
  • H operating principle: actuator locked with electromagnet energised.
  • Mode 2: OS safety outputs active with protection closed.
  • 2 safety inputs: IS1–IS2.
  • 2 safety outputs: OS1–OS2.
  • O4 signalling output for actuator-locked status.
  • IE1 input for electromagnet activation.
  • No front auxiliary release.
  • Rear escape-release button.
  • Bottom connection direction.
  • M12 8-pole connector for series connection with compatible Y-connectors.
  • IP67 according to EN 60529 / IP69K according to ISO 20653.

Reliable RFID Guard Monitoring with Escape Release

The Pizzato NS H3TE1SQK-F40 is designed for machinery where a protective guard must be electronically monitored and mechanically retained as part of the machine safety strategy. Its RFID sensing system identifies the F40 actuator without mechanical contact, while the integrated locking mechanism retains the actuator when the electromagnet is energised.

The rear escape-release function makes this configuration particularly useful for guarded areas that may be physically entered by personnel, as it provides a means of releasing the locking mechanism from inside the protected zone. Redundant OS1–OS2 safety outputs and an M12 connector provide straightforward integration with compatible industrial safety-control systems.

Typical Applications

  • Machine guard and safety-door interlocking.
  • Robotic cells and enclosed automation systems.
  • Guarded areas requiring an internal escape-release function.
  • Packaging and processing machinery.
  • Automated assembly and production lines.
  • Conveyor and material handling systems.
  • Machine tools and industrial production equipment.
  • OEM machinery and factory automation installations.
