Why Choose the Pizzato ST DD611N2 ST D Series Safety Sensor?
The Pizzato ST DD611N2 is an industrial RFID non-contact safety sensor designed for monitoring movable guards, doors and protective devices on automated machinery. Part of the Pizzato ST D series, it combines RFID sensing with redundant electronic safety outputs to provide reliable machine guard monitoring without mechanical contact.
The ST DD611N2 is the sensor configuration without a specified actuator suffix, allowing the appropriate compatible ST D RFID actuator to be selected separately according to the required coding level and operating distance. Pizzato ST D actuators are available in standard, large and miniaturised formats with low-level or high-level coding, providing flexibility for different machine guarding requirements.
The ST DD611N2 operates from a 12–24 V DC supply and provides two safety inputs (IS1 and IS2), two safety outputs (OS1 and OS2) and one inverted signalling output (O3). The N2 configuration features an integrated 2 m PVC cable, while the DD configuration provides right-side cable output. IP67 and IP69K protection and an operating temperature range of -25 to +70 °C make it suitable for demanding industrial environments.

Flexible RFID Safety Monitoring for Industrial Machinery
Pizzato ST D series sensors are coded type 4 non-contact interlocking devices designed for monitoring movable machine guards. When a compatible RFID actuator enters the sensor's activation area, the sensor detects the actuator electronically and controls its safety outputs accordingly, allowing the machine safety system to determine whether the protective guard is correctly positioned before hazardous machine functions are permitted.
The ST DD611N2 combines two safety inputs and two redundant safety outputs with an inverted O3 signalling output. The safety inputs enable compatible devices to be connected in series, with ST D systems supporting chains of up to 32 safety sensors in an appropriate architecture while maintaining PL e. The inverted signalling output provides additional guard status information that can be managed by a PLC or compatible control system.
