Why Choose the Pizzato ST DL310M0.1-L1T ST D Series Safety Sensor?

The Pizzato ST DL310M0.1-L1T is a compact and highly reliable RFID non-contact safety sensor designed for monitoring machine guards, doors and protective devices in industrial automation systems. As part of the advanced Pizzato ST D series, it combines RFID technology with a high-coded actuator to provide dependable guard detection without mechanical contact, helping minimise wear and improve resistance to tampering.

This safety sensor provides two safety outputs, one signalling output and two safety inputs, allowing straightforward integration into modern machine safety circuits. The ST D series can be used in suitably designed safety systems up to PL e, Category 4 according to EN ISO 13849-1 and SIL 3, making it suitable for demanding industrial machinery where a high level of functional safety is required.

The ST DL310M0.1-L1T is supplied with a 0.1 m cable and M12 connector positioned on the left and uses an SM L1T high-coded RFID actuator with a nominal actuation distance of 12 mm. Each L1T actuator is individually coded and must be associated with its sensor, providing a high coding level according to ISO 14119. Its IP67 and IP69K protection ratings make the sensor suitable for demanding industrial environments.

Key Advantages

  • Non-contact RFID safety sensor for machine guard monitoring.
  • High-coded L1T actuator helps improve protection against manipulation and bypassing.
  • Supports safety systems up to PL e, Category 4 and SIL 3.
  • Two safety outputs, one signalling output and two safety inputs.
  • 12 mm nominal actuation distance with the SM L1T actuator.
  • IP67 and IP69K protection for demanding industrial environments.

Key Features

  • Pizzato ST D series RFID safety sensor.
  • Non-contact operation using RFID technology.
  • High coding level according to ISO 14119.
  • Two OS safety outputs.
  • One O signalling output.
  • Two IS safety inputs.
  • 24 V DC nominal supply voltage.
  • 0.1 m cable with M12 connector on the left.
  • IP67 and IP69K enclosure protection.
  • Operating temperature range from -25 °C to +70 °C.

Reliable High-Coded Guard Monitoring for Industrial Machinery

RFID safety sensors such as the Pizzato ST D series monitor the position of machine guards without requiring mechanical contact between the sensor and actuator. This reduces mechanical wear compared with conventional electromechanical safety switches and makes the technology particularly suitable for machinery with frequent operating cycles.

The L1T high-coded actuator is individually coded so that the associated sensor recognises its specific actuator. A different L1T actuator is not recognised until a new association procedure is performed, helping provide a high coding level and improved resistance to deliberate manipulation of the safety system.

Typical Applications

  • Machine guard and access-door monitoring.
  • Packaging and production machinery.
  • Automated assembly equipment.
  • Robotic cells and industrial automation systems.
  • Material handling and conveyor machinery.
  • Industrial machinery requiring high-coded non-contact guard detection.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Pizzato ST DL310M0.1-L1T used for?

This RFID safety sensor is used to monitor machine guards, doors and protective devices in industrial machinery, providing safety-related switching signals according to the position of the associated actuator.

What safety level can the ST DL310M0.1-L1T support?

The sensor can be used in suitably designed safety systems up to PL e, Category 4 and SIL 3.

What type of actuator does the ST DL310M0.1-L1T use?

The sensor uses an SM L1T high-coded RFID actuator with a nominal actuation distance of 12 mm.

What is the difference between the L1T and L0T actuator versions?

The L1T actuator has a high coding level and is individually associated with its sensor, whereas L0T actuators use a common code. This makes the L1T version particularly suitable where increased protection against manipulation is required.

What connection does the ST DL310M0.1-L1T have?

The sensor is supplied with a 0.1 m cable and M12 connector positioned on the left of the sensor.
