The Carlo Gavazzi VR3A is a rugged capacitive level sensor designed for detecting the level of liquids, powders, granulated materials and other compatible media in industrial tanks, hoppers and silos. Its non-flush capacitive sensing principle allows material to be detected without relying on floats or other mechanically operated sensing components.
The VR3A features a chemically resistant PTFE (Teflon) housing with a cylindrical Ø30 mm construction and 1½-inch pipe thread for secure process mounting. It provides a sensing distance of up to 8 mm and is supplied with an integral 2 m cable.
Designed to operate with a separate Carlo Gavazzi amplifier relay, the VR3A is compatible with the SV150/250 and SV160/260 amplifier families. Its IP67 protection rating and -25 to +70 °C operating temperature make it suitable for demanding industrial level-detection applications.
