The Carlo Gavazzi VT1 is a robust conductive liquid level probe designed for reliable maximum or minimum level monitoring of electrically conductive liquids. It features a single 1 m AISI 316 stainless steel electrode with a diameter of 5 mm, providing a durable sensing solution for industrial tanks, vessels and liquid handling systems.
The VT1 uses the conductive sensing principle and operates in conjunction with a suitable level control amplifier or relay. When the monitored liquid reaches the electrode, its electrical conductivity enables the control system to detect the level condition and perform functions such as pump control, filling, emptying or level alarming.
Designed for demanding environments, the VT1 combines a chemically resistant PTFE housing, 1½-inch threaded process connection, 1 m silicone cable and IP67 protection. Its standard 1 m electrode can also be shortened to suit the required sensing level within the application.
Conductive level sensing uses the electrical conductivity of the monitored liquid to determine when a defined level has been reached. The VT1 electrode forms the sensing element, while a compatible amplifier relay evaluates the electrical condition and provides the required control output. The final operating function is therefore determined by the associated level control relay.
The combination of an AISI 316 stainless steel electrode, PTFE housing and high operating temperature capability makes the Carlo Gavazzi VT1 particularly suitable for demanding liquid handling and process applications.
