The Lovato 51ADXTAST is a dedicated remote keypad for Lovato 51ADX soft starters, designed to provide convenient panel-mounted access to soft starter configuration, measurements and operating information. Its 96 × 96 mm flush-mount format and 2-line, 16-character backlit LCD make it suitable for machine control panels and industrial switchboards where the soft starter itself is installed away from the operator interface.
The remote keypad provides functionality comparable with the keypad integrated into compatible 51ADX soft starters, while motor start and stop commands are permanently disabled on the remote unit. Operators can configure the soft starter, read measurements and operating data, and transfer parameter settings between the 51ADX soft starter and the keypad, allowing a backup copy of configuration data to be retained.
The 51ADXTAST operates from a 208–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz auxiliary supply and communicates with the soft starter through an RS485 interface. It is supplied complete with a 51C8 3 m / 10 ft connecting cable for connection to the RS485 port of a compatible Lovato 51ADX soft starter.
The Lovato 51ADXTAST allows important configuration and monitoring functions of a compatible 51ADX soft starter to be brought to the front of an electrical enclosure. This is particularly useful when the soft starter is mounted inside a cabinet and routine access to parameters, measurements and operating information is required without opening the panel.
Parameter transfer functions allow settings to be copied between the 51ADX and the remote keypad, providing a convenient method of retaining and transferring configuration data. The backlit LCD, status LEDs and six-key interface provide straightforward navigation, while the supplied 51C8 cable enables direct connection to the soft starter's RS485 interface.
