The Lovato VLGXL01 is a dedicated Ethernet communication module with Modbus TCP protocol designed for Lovato VLG3 variable speed drives. It adds Ethernet connectivity to compatible VLG3 drives, allowing them to exchange operating and control data with PLCs, HMIs and supervisory systems across industrial networks.
The VLGXL01 communicates using Modbus TCP at speeds up to 100 Mbps with auto-negotiation. The module supports a communication distance of up to 100 m over suitable twisted-pair cabling and can be incorporated into line or ring network topologies, making it a practical option for networked machine and process-control installations.
Designed specifically for the VLG3 platform, the module mounts directly to the drive and connects using the supplied RJ45 cable. Once configured, the VLGXL01 can provide fieldbus command and frequency-reference functions, enabling a compatible automation controller to manage the VLG3 drive over the Ethernet network.
