The Lovato P5X1311 is an add-on trip signalling contact with one changeover contact designed for compatible Lovato P5M IEC moulded case circuit breakers. It provides electrical indication when the circuit breaker trips due to an overload, short circuit, shunt trip or undervoltage release, allowing trip status to be communicated to external control and monitoring equipment.
Unlike a standard auxiliary contact used primarily to indicate breaker position, the P5X1311 is specifically designed for trip indication. Its 1 C/O contact provides complementary signalling states that can be incorporated into alarm circuits, PLC inputs, annunciators and other monitoring systems.
The P5X1311 is supplied pre-wired with 500 mm leads and uses snap mounting beneath the circuit breaker's front cover for straightforward integration. With a conventional thermal current rating of 5 A, a rated insulation voltage of 250 V and contact ratings up to 3 A at 250 V AC, it provides a compact signalling solution for industrial power-distribution systems.

Reliable MCCB Trip Indication for Control and Monitoring Systems
Trip signalling contacts allow a control or monitoring system to distinguish a protective or release-operated trip from normal manual operation of the circuit breaker. The Lovato P5X1311 provides a single changeover signalling contact for trips caused by overloads, short circuits and operation of compatible shunt-trip or undervoltage releases.
This functionality is particularly useful in industrial distribution systems where operators need immediate remote notification that a breaker has tripped. The P5X1311 can be incorporated into compatible alarm, PLC and annunciation circuits, while its 500 mm pre-wired leads and snap-in mounting simplify integration within the P5M breaker assembly.
Typical Applications
