Why Choose the Finder 30.22.9.006.0020 Subminiature PCB Signal Relay?

The Finder 30.22.9.006.0020 is a compact 2 A subminiature electromechanical signal relay designed for reliable switching in electronic control circuits, industrial automation equipment and printed circuit board assemblies. Part of the Finder 30 Series, this miniature relay combines a sensitive 6 V DC coil with two changeover contacts in an industry-standard dual in-line (DIL) package.

Featuring a 2 CO (DPDT) contact configuration, the Finder 30.22.9.006.0020 allows two independent electrical circuits to switch between normally closed and normally open connections using a single control signal. Its silver nickel contacts with gold cladding (AgNi + Au) provide excellent suitability for appropriately rated low-level signal switching and electronic control applications.

The relay also features RT III wash-tight environmental protection, through-hole PCB mounting and a compact body measuring approximately 20.3 × 10.1 × 11.4 mm. With its low-power DC coil and miniature construction, the Finder 30.22.9.006.0020 is a practical choice for OEM electronic assemblies, instrumentation, automation interfaces and maintenance of compatible circuit boards.

Reliable 6 V DC Signal Switching for Compact Electronic Systems

The Finder 30.22.9.006.0020 operates using an electromagnetic coil to control two independent changeover contact sets. When the 6 V DC coil is energised, each common contact transfers from its normally closed connection to its normally open connection. Removing the coil supply allows the contacts to return to their normal positions.

This DPDT switching arrangement provides flexibility for signal routing, electrical changeover functions and auxiliary control circuits. Because both poles are operated by the same coil, two separate circuits can respond simultaneously to a single electronic control signal.

The relay's AgNi + Au contact material is particularly beneficial for low-level switching applications. Gold cladding helps maintain suitable contact characteristics when switching small signals, making the relay useful in instrumentation, monitoring equipment and electronic interfaces where conventional high-current power relays may be unnecessarily large.

Its RT III wash-tight enclosure also supports suitable PCB assembly processes, including controlled board cleaning. However, RT III protection does not make the relay suitable for unrestricted outdoor exposure or immersion. Electrical ratings, PCB clearances and the complete manufacturer's part-number configuration should always be checked before installation.

Typical Applications

  • Industrial automation electronic control boards.
  • 6 V DC electronic control circuits.
  • Printed circuit board signal switching.
  • Instrumentation and measurement equipment.
  • Electronic control and interface modules.
  • Low-power changeover switching circuits.
  • Alarm and monitoring systems.
  • Building automation electronics.
  • Electronic timers and sequencing circuits.
  • Communication and signal-routing equipment.
  • OEM electronic control assemblies.
  • Replacement of compatible Finder 30 Series PCB relays.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Finder 30.22.9.006.0020 used for?

The Finder 30.22.9.006.0020 is a subminiature PCB signal relay designed for switching low-power electrical circuits in industrial automation, instrumentation, electronic control boards and other compact electronic equipment.

What coil voltage does the Finder 30.22.9.006.0020 require?

The relay uses a 6 V DC nominal operating coil. It must be powered from a compatible direct-current control supply. The coil voltage is separate from the voltage of the circuits switched by the relay contacts.

What is the contact configuration of the Finder 30.22.9.006.0020?

The relay features two changeover contacts (2 CO / DPDT). Each contact set has common, normally closed and normally open connections, allowing two circuits to change switching state when the coil is energised.

What is the switching current rating of the Finder 30.22.9.006.0020?

The relay has a 2 A rated contact current and a 3 A maximum peak contact current. The permissible switching current depends on the load voltage, load type and operating conditions.

What contact material does the Finder 30.22.9.006.0020 use?

The relay uses silver nickel contacts with gold cladding (AgNi + Au). This contact material is suitable for appropriately rated low-level signal switching and electronic control applications.

What does RT III wash-tight protection mean?

RT III refers to a wash-tight relay enclosure designed to withstand suitable PCB cleaning processes. It does not mean that the relay is waterproof for outdoor use, immersion or unrestricted exposure to moisture.

How is the Finder 30.22.9.006.0020 mounted?

The relay is designed for through-hole PCB mounting using solder pins in a compact dual in-line package. The PCB footprint and terminal positions should be checked against Finder's dimensional drawing before installation.

Can the Finder 30.22.9.006.0020 replace a 5 V DC version?

Not as a direct substitution without checking the circuit. The 30.22.9.006.0020 requires a 6 V DC coil supply, whereas a 5 V DC variant has a different nominal coil voltage. The full part number, coil supply, contact arrangement, PCB footprint and operating requirements must all be verified before replacement.
