Why Choose the Finder RB.22.9.125.0000 Bistable Relay?
The Finder RB.22.9.125.0000 is an industrial bistable latching relay featuring a 110–125 V DC control supply, two changeover contacts and an 8 A contact rating. Part of the Finder RB Series, this relay is designed for electrical control panels, industrial automation and power generation applications where a switching state must be maintained without continuously energising a relay coil.
Unlike a conventional monostable relay, the Finder RB.22.9.125.0000 uses a dual-winding bistable mechanism with separate SET and RESET functions. A suitable control pulse changes the relay's contact position, and the relay mechanically maintains that position after the pulse is removed. This makes it particularly useful for control systems requiring state retention and reduced continuous coil power consumption.
The relay provides two changeover contacts (2 CO / DPDT), allowing two switching circuits to be controlled through the same latching mechanism. With a nominal contact rating of 8 A at 250 V AC, it supports suitable auxiliary control, signalling and resistive load applications.
The Finder RB.22 design incorporates local SET and RESET push-buttons and supports external control arrangements. Its plug-in construction is intended for compatible Finder 90.21 and 90.49 sockets, providing a practical solution for industrial installations requiring accessible wiring and relay replacement.

How the Finder RB.22 Bistable Relay Works
The Finder RB.22.9.125.0000 uses a bistable operating mechanism that allows the relay contacts to remain in either of two stable positions without a continuous control supply. This differs from a conventional monostable relay, which normally returns to its rest position when coil power is removed.
The relay incorporates separate SET and RESET windings. Applying an appropriate control pulse to the SET circuit moves the contacts into the set position. Applying a suitable pulse to the RESET circuit returns the contacts to the reset position. Once either operation is completed, the relay retains its selected state without continuous coil energisation.
Its two changeover contacts provide independent common, normally open and normally closed connections. This allows the relay to control two auxiliary circuits, switch between alternative signal paths or provide separate control and status functions.
The integrated SET and RESET push-buttons allow local operation during commissioning and maintenance. The relay also supports remote control arrangements using appropriately wired external push-buttons. Finder provides wiring arrangements for local-only, remote-only and combined local/remote control.
The relay is designed for use with compatible Finder 90.21 and 90.49 sockets. The socket provides the permanent wiring interface, while the relay can be removed or replaced after safe electrical isolation. The correct socket, control wiring and contact load ratings must be verified before installation.
