The Cembre 2397180 CL250-D38 is a premium two-hole colour coded copper compression cable lug designed to provide exceptionally secure, vibration-resistant electrical terminations for demanding industrial and utility power applications. Manufactured from 99.95% electrolytic annealed copper with an electrolytic tin-plated finish, it delivers excellent electrical conductivity together with long-term corrosion resistance.
Unlike standard single-hole compression lugs, the CL-D series features a two-hole palm which provides superior mechanical stability under high vibration and electrodynamic stress. The long barrel incorporates a chamfered entry to simplify conductor insertion, while the sealed barrel design without an inspection hole helps minimise the ingress of moisture and contaminants during outdoor use.
Suitable for 120 mm² copper conductors, the Cembre 2397180 features dual M10 fixing holes, a 29 mm stripping length and yellow die identification with die index 24, making it ideal for switchgear, substations, transformers and heavy-duty power distribution equipment.
Key Advantages
Two-hole palm provides superior resistance to vibration and movement.
Designed for 120 mm² copper conductors.
Manufactured from 99.95% electrolytic annealed copper.
Electrolytic tin plating offers excellent corrosion resistance.
Long barrel improves electrical conductivity and mechanical strength.
Closed barrel design helps prevent moisture and dirt ingress.
Ideal for demanding industrial and utility installations.
The CL250-D38 has been engineered for installations where electrical reliability and mechanical stability are equally important. Its two-hole palm reduces movement after installation, helping maintain low-resistance connections in high-vibration environments such as substations, heavy machinery and industrial switchgear.
The absence of an inspection hole further improves suitability for outdoor installations by reducing the possibility of moisture or dirt entering the conductor barrel.
It is used to create heavy-duty compression terminations for 120 mm² copper conductors where additional mechanical stability is required.
Why does it have two fixing holes?
The dual-hole palm improves stability, reducing movement and providing greater resistance to vibration and electrodynamic forces.
Does this lug have an inspection hole?
No. The CL-D series uses a closed barrel design to help prevent moisture and dirt entering the conductor connection.
Which crimp die should be used?
Use the yellow die with die index 24, as specified by Cembre.
What cable size is supported?
This terminal is designed for 120 mm² copper conductors.
