The Cembre 2720360 MTMA185-GC is a premium aluminium compression through connector (straight splice) engineered to provide secure, permanent electrical joints between 185 mm² aluminium conductors. Manufactured by Cembre, it delivers reliable, low-resistance cable splicing for industrial, utility and high-voltage power distribution applications.
Part of the proven Cembre MTMA-GC series, the connector is manufactured from aluminium with a purity of at least 99.5%. It features a closed barrel with an integrated central stop, corrosion-inhibiting grease and sealing compound to minimise oxidation while ensuring dependable long-term electrical performance.
Designed for demanding electrical installations, the MTMA185-GC is suitable for low, medium and high-voltage cable systems and provides outstanding conductivity together with excellent mechanical strength for permanent aluminium cable joints.
Compression through connectors provide permanent, low-resistance electrical joints for aluminium conductors. When installed using approved compression tooling and dies, they provide excellent electrical conductivity together with high mechanical retention and long-term reliability.
The MTMA185-GC incorporates a grease-filled barrel, sealing compound and integrated conductor stop to reduce oxidation and moisture ingress, making it suitable for industrial installations, substations and utility power distribution networks operating up to 33 kV.
