The nVent HOFFMAN A1001YZUMC1 Small-Volume System, Class 1 is a Type Y and Type Z purging and pressurisation system designed to enable the use of general-purpose enclosures in certain hazardous location applications. This compact system regulates and monitors enclosure pressure using compressed instrument air or inert gas to help prevent flammable gas, vapour or combustible dust accumulation.
Designed for hazardous area protection applications, the A1001YZUMC1 provides an alternative solution to NEMA Type 7 or Type 9 explosion-proof enclosures. The system is suitable for protected enclosures with a maximum volume of up to 2 ft³ (0.06 m³) and supports Class I hazardous location requirements.
