Smart Heating Control Straight Out of the Box

Because the kit includes GATEWAY2, BLISS2 can be connected to your home Wi-Fi as soon as it is installed. Using the Finder YOU app you can create weekly heating programmes, change the target temperature remotely and check the room temperature and humidity from your phone.

A typical schedule might raise the temperature before you get up, lower it while the property is empty, bring it back up before you return home and reduce it again overnight. Correctly configured schedules help avoid heating rooms when nobody needs them.

When you need a short-term change, the timed manual mode holds a different temperature for a set number of hours before returning automatically to the weekly programme. Permanent manual mode keeps a fixed temperature until it is cancelled in the app or on the thermostat.

Once the gateway is linked to Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, commands such as "Alexa, set the living room to 21 degrees" change the target temperature without touching the thermostat or opening the app.

Which Boilers and Heating Systems Does BLISS2 Work With?

BLISS2 controls heating through a volt-free changeover relay (terminals 6 COM and 7 NO), rated 5 A at 250 V AC. It closes the contact when heat is called for and opens it when the room is up to temperature, which is how a conventional on/off room thermostat works. It therefore suits heating equipment with a standard on/off room thermostat connection, including many gas combi, system and regular boilers, zone valves and circulating pumps.

Finder states that BLISS2 can interface with traditional radiator, underfloor, heat pump and fan coil systems, and that it is a suitable replacement for most Finder or third-party room thermostats with equivalent on/off functionality.

Not suitable for modulating control: Finder documents BLISS2 with an on/off relay output only. It does not provide OpenTherm or manufacturer-specific bus control (such as boiler-brand digital thermostat connections). Boilers that rely on these for modulation will need to be wired to their standard on/off thermostat terminals instead, where the boiler provides them.

Before you buy, check your boiler manual for a conventional room thermostat or "switched live / volt-free" input, and confirm the load on the contact stays within 5 A at 250 V AC. Compatibility depends on the exact boiler model and its control terminals, not just the brand.

Where running a cable from the thermostat to the boiler or valve is difficult, the Finder 13.21.8.230.S000 radio actuator can switch the boiler, a zone valve or a fan coil wirelessly from BLISS2. Several actuators can be paired for multi-zone systems. Wiring to boilers and heating controls should be carried out by a competent installer with the circuits isolated.
