Why Choose the Finder 7F.30.8.120.3100 Outdoor Filter Fan?
The Finder 7F.30.8.120.3100 is a 120 V AC outdoor filter fan from the Finder 7F Series, designed to provide reliable forced-air ventilation for electrical cabinets and industrial control enclosures. This Size 3 draw-in fan delivers a nominal free-air flow of 100 m³/h at 50 Hz, helping manage heat generated by electrical and electronic equipment.
Unlike standard indoor ventilation fans, the Finder 7F.30 range is specifically designed for outdoor enclosure applications. Its IP54 protection rating, IK08 impact resistance and NEMA Type 3R classification make it suitable for appropriately designed installations exposed to outdoor environmental conditions.
Featuring a 120 V AC supply, low-noise operation at 42 dB(A) and an easily replaceable filter mat, the Finder 7F.30.8.120.3100 combines effective ventilation with practical installation and maintenance. Its compact design helps minimise intrusion into the enclosure while supporting dependable cabinet cooling.

Outdoor Electrical Cabinet Cooling and Automation Protection
Outdoor electrical enclosures can experience elevated internal temperatures caused by solar exposure, ambient conditions and heat generated by installed electrical equipment. The Finder 7F.30.8.120.3100 provides forced-air ventilation to help dissipate heat from control cabinets containing PLCs, power supplies, relays, contactors and other automation components.
Its standard draw-in configuration introduces filtered ambient air into the cabinet. When paired with an appropriately positioned exhaust filter, this creates an airflow path through the enclosure, helping carry heat away from electrical components while reducing the entry of airborne dust.
The fan provides 100 m³/h free-air flow at 50 Hz and 115 m³/h at 60 Hz. With a compatible exhaust filter installed, the corresponding airflow figures are 75 m³/h and 85.5 m³/h. Actual installed airflow depends on filter condition, enclosure resistance and the ventilation arrangement.
The IP54, IK08 and NEMA Type 3R ratings support its use in appropriately designed outdoor installations. However, fan-assisted ventilation cannot cool an enclosure below the incoming ambient air temperature. Cabinet heat load, weather exposure, mounting position and the manufacturer's installation requirements should therefore be considered when designing the cooling system.
