Its 80 × 120 mm conductor opening accommodates large busbars used in industrial and commercial power distribution systems. The split-core construction allows the transformer to be opened and fitted around an existing conductor, making the DM3TA2000 particularly useful for retrofit metering installations where disconnecting or removing a large busbar would be impractical.
