Thermistor-Based Motor Protection
Thermistor protection relays are used with temperature-sensitive motor protection circuits to monitor thermal conditions within motors and other electrical equipment. When the thermistor circuit detects an excessive temperature condition, the protection relay can change the state of its output contacts so the associated control system can respond.
The Lovato 31DRPT24 combines thermistor protection with manual or automatic resetting, a test function and two changeover auxiliary contacts. Its 24 V AC supply and standard 35 mm DIN rail mounting make it suitable for integration into compatible industrial motor control and protection systems.
Typical Applications
Thermistor-based electric motor protection.
Industrial motor control panels.
Motor starting and protection systems.
Industrial machinery electrical systems.
OEM automation and machine-building equipment.
Control panels requiring DIN rail-mounted thermistor protection.
