Why Choose the Finder 62.33.8.125.4040 Power Relay?
The Finder 62.33.8.125.4040 is a 16 A industrial electromechanical power relay from the Finder 62 Series, designed for electrical control panels, industrial automation and machinery control applications. Featuring three changeover contacts, silver tin oxide contact material and a practical plug-in design, this relay provides flexible switching for demanding electrical installations.
With a 125 V AC nominal coil voltage and three changeover contacts (3 CO / 3PDT), the Finder 62.33.8.125.4040 enables three separate circuits to be switched simultaneously from a single control signal. Its AgSnO₂ contact material is particularly useful for applications involving electrical loads with significant switching inrush currents.
The relay offers a 16 A rated contact current, a 250 V AC rated switching voltage and a 4,000 VA AC1 resistive switching capacity. Its plug-in construction, mechanical status indication and manual test facility make it suitable for control panel assembly, fault diagnosis and routine maintenance.
Important: The 125 V AC coil rating is an uncommon voltage variant. Confirm the control supply and the exact manufacturer's coil specification before installation. The relay is not intended as a direct substitute for a 120 V or 230 V coil version without checking compatibility.

Three-Pole Changeover Switching for Industrial Control Systems
The Finder 62.33.8.125.4040 uses an electromagnetic operating mechanism to control three changeover contacts. When the correct AC control voltage is applied to the coil, the relay energises and transfers each common contact from its normally closed position to its normally open position. When the coil supply is removed, the contacts return to their original state.
The 3 CO / 3PDT arrangement provides three electrically separate changeover circuits operated by one coil. This allows a single control signal to perform several functions, such as operating auxiliary equipment, switching control circuits and providing status feedback within an automation system.
The relay's AgSnO₂ contacts offer an alternative to conventional silver nickel contact materials and are commonly selected for applications where switching inrush current is an important consideration. The permissible continuous current and switching duty must still be checked against the characteristics of the connected load.
Lockable Test Button and Mechanical Status Indicator
The .4040 configuration incorporates a manual test facility and mechanical flag indicator. These features help electrical engineers and maintenance personnel identify the relay's operating condition and carry out controlled functional checks during commissioning or troubleshooting.
The manual test button can be pressed to operate the relay contacts without energising the coil. Finder's dual-purpose test button design also permits the contacts to be mechanically held in the operated position when the locking function is deliberately enabled.
Safety consideration: The manual test and locking function must only be used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and the installation's safety procedures. A mechanically operated relay can energise connected equipment, so the test button must not be treated as an electrical isolation device.
Plug-In Installation with Finder 92 Series Sockets
The Finder 62.33 relay features Faston 187 terminals and is designed for plug-in installation. A suitable Finder 92 Series socket can provide the connection interface for installation within an industrial electrical control panel.
Using a compatible socket simplifies routine maintenance because the relay can be replaced without disturbing the socket's fixed wiring. Socket compatibility must be confirmed against the three-pole contact arrangement, terminal configuration, electrical ratings and installation requirements.
The relay itself is not a direct DIN rail mounting device. Where DIN rail installation is required, an appropriately specified mounting socket provides the interface to the rail.
