Why Choose the Finder 83.82.0.240.0000T Star-Delta Timer Relay?
The Finder 83.82.0.240.0000T is a compact DIN rail mounted star-delta timer relay designed for timed switching in industrial motor control, automation and electrical control panels. Part of the Finder 83 Series, this modular timer provides a dedicated star-delta timing function for coordinating the transition between star and delta contactors in suitable three-phase motor starting circuits.
Featuring a 24–240 V AC/DC supply range, two normally open relay outputs and a 16 A contact rating, the Finder 83.82.0.240.0000T provides a practical interface for motor starter control circuits. The timer operates the star output first, then introduces an adjustable transition interval before energising the delta output, helping coordinate the required starting sequence.
The T-version is intended for demanding industrial and railway-related applications. Its 22.5 mm wide housing, screw terminal connections and standard 35 mm DIN rail mounting allow straightforward integration into compact control cabinets, motor starter assemblies and automation equipment.

Controlled Star-Delta Switching for Three-Phase Motor Starters
The Finder 83.82.0.240.0000T operates using the SD star-delta timing function. When supply voltage is applied, the star output closes immediately, allowing the associated star contactor to energise. After the selected star operating time has elapsed, the star output opens. Following an additional adjustable transition interval of 0.05–1 s, the delta output closes and remains operated until the timer supply is removed.
This switching sequence helps coordinate the contactors in a conventional star-delta motor starter. Star-delta starting can reduce the starting current compared with direct-on-line starting for suitable motors, although it also reduces available starting torque. The Finder timer controls the sequence; it does not replace the main, star and delta contactors, their required electrical and mechanical interlocks, motor overload protection or other necessary protective devices.
