The Carlo Gavazzi DBB02CM24 is a battery-powered true delay-on-release timer relay designed to maintain its changeover output for an extended period after the power supply is removed. As part of the Carlo Gavazzi DBB02 timer series, it provides dependable long-duration timed switching for industrial machinery, automation equipment and electrical control systems.
When power is applied, the relay energises and the built-in rechargeable battery is charged. Removing the supply starts the selected timing period, during which the output remains energised before releasing at the end of the delay. This battery-powered operation allows release delays of up to 10 h without requiring a continuous external supply.
With three selectable timing ranges covering 60 s to 10 h, a wide 24–240 V AC/DC supply and an 8 A SPDT relay output, the DBB02CM24 is ideal for extended shutdown and run-on applications. Its 22.5 mm DIN-rail housing enables straightforward installation inside industrial control panels.
A battery-powered true delay-on-release timer keeps its relay energised for a preset period after supply power is removed. Its internal rechargeable battery supports substantially longer delay periods than a conventional capacitor-powered timer, making it suitable for extended run-on and shutdown sequences.
The DBB02CM24 begins timing automatically following supply interruption and releases its changeover contact when the selected period expires. If power returns before the relay releases, the timing cycle resets and the relay remains energised while the internal battery resumes charging.
