The Lovato ADXT0187 is an advanced three-phase digital soft starter designed for controlled starting and stopping of asynchronous motors in standard and heavy-duty industrial applications. Part of the Lovato ADXT soft starter series, it provides a rated starter current of 187 A and combines three-phase control with an integrated bypass relay.
The ADXT0187 operates across a wide 380–690 V AC three-phase supply range and uses a selectable 110–120 V AC or 220–240 V AC auxiliary supply. Multiple starting methods, including constant current, current ramp, voltage ramp and adaptive control, allow the starter to be configured for different motor loads and machine requirements.
For in-line IEC installations at ambient temperatures up to 40 °C, the ADXT0187 supports motors rated up to 90 kW at 400 V, 132 kW at 500 V and 185 kW at 690 V. Inside-delta connection increases the supported IEC motor ratings to 160 kW at 400 V, 200 kW at 500 V and 250 kW at 690 V.
The Lovato ADXT0187 controls all three motor phases during starting, allowing acceleration characteristics to be adapted to the connected machine. Adjustable current limiting and selectable starting profiles help reduce electrical inrush and mechanical stress compared with direct-on-line starting, while adaptive control provides additional flexibility for demanding loads.
Integrated electronic protection monitors conditions including motor overload, locked rotor, current asymmetry, undercurrent, low power, excessive starting time, phase loss, phase sequence and starter overtemperature. Once acceleration is complete, the built-in bypass relay provides efficient continuous operation while the ADXT continues to supervise the motor installation.
