The Danfoss 175G5249, also known as the MCD202-055-T6-CV1, is a compact and dependable soft starter engineered to provide smooth starting and stopping of three-phase induction motors. As part of the proven Danfoss VLT® Compact Starter MCD 200 series, it reduces motor starting current, minimises mechanical stress and helps extend the service life of motors and driven equipment.
Designed for OEMs, machine builders and industrial maintenance engineers, the MCD202 series incorporates an integrated bypass contactor, built-in motor protection and straightforward commissioning. Its compact panel-mounted design allows simple installation inside electrical control panels while delivering reliable performance in demanding industrial environments.
With a rated motor power of 55 kW, a 100 A current rating and a three-phase 200 to 575 V AC supply, the Danfoss 175G5249 is ideally suited to pumps, conveyors, compressors, fans, mixers and other industrial machinery requiring controlled motor acceleration and deceleration.
Soft starters such as the Danfoss MCD202-055-T6-CV1 gradually increase the voltage supplied to the motor during start-up, significantly reducing current surges and mechanical shock.
