Reliable Non-Contact Guard Monitoring
The SR AL40AN7-A01N uses coded magnetic detection to monitor movable machine guards without physical engagement between the sensor and actuator. When the correct coded actuator is positioned within the operating zone, the sensor recognises it and changes the state of its Reed contacts so that the guard condition can be evaluated by suitable machine safety control equipment.
When combined with an appropriate safety module and incorporated into a correctly designed and validated safety system, SR-A coded magnetic sensors can support safety architectures up to SIL 3, PL e and Category 4.
