Why Choose the Pizzato ST DD310H2-D1T ST D Series Safety Sensor?

The Pizzato ST DD310H2-D1T is a robust RFID safety sensor designed for monitoring movable guards, doors and protective devices on industrial machinery. As part of the Pizzato ST D series, it combines contactless RFID technology with redundant electronic safety outputs to provide reliable machine safeguarding in demanding automation environments.

This safety sensor uses a high-level coded RFID actuator to provide strong protection against tampering and unauthorised bypassing. Its contactless operating principle eliminates mechanical wear between the sensor and actuator, supporting a long service life in machinery with frequent operating cycles. The ST D series can achieve safety levels up to PL e, Category 4 and SIL 3 when correctly integrated into a suitable safety control system.

The ST DD310H2-D1T operates from a 24 V DC supply and is equipped with an integrated 2 m halogen-free PUR cable with the connection exiting from the right-hand side of the housing. It provides two safety inputs, two safety outputs and one signalling output, while the supplied high-level coded D1T actuator provides a nominal actuation distance of 12 mm. IP67 and IP69K protection makes the sensor suitable for harsh industrial environments and equipment exposed to intensive cleaning.

Key Advantages

  • Contactless RFID safety sensor designed for machine guard monitoring.
  • High-level coded D1T actuator provides increased protection against manipulation.
  • Supports safety architectures up to PL e, Category 4 and SIL 3.
  • 12 mm actuation distance provides useful tolerance when aligning guards and doors.
  • 2 m halogen-free PUR cable suited to demanding industrial applications.
  • IP67 and IP69K protection for harsh and washdown environments.

Key Features

  • Pizzato ST D series RFID safety sensor.
  • 24 V DC supply voltage.
  • 2 safety inputs IS1-IS2.
  • 2 safety outputs OS1-OS2.
  • 1 signalling output O3.
  • High-level coded RFID actuator in accordance with EN ISO 14119.
  • 12 mm actuator actuation distance.
  • Technopolymer housing with right-hand cable outlet.
  • 2 m halogen-free PUR cable.
  • Suitable for series connection with compatible Pizzato safety devices.

Reliable RFID Protection for Machine Guards

RFID safety sensors such as the Pizzato ST DD310H2-D1T monitor the position of machine guards without requiring mechanical contact between the sensor and actuator. The coded actuator is identified electronically, allowing the safety system to determine whether a guard is correctly positioned before hazardous machine movement is permitted.

The ST D series is designed for modern industrial safety systems where reliability, resistance to manipulation and flexible installation are essential. Compatible ST D sensors can be connected in series, with configurations of up to 32 sensors capable of maintaining PL e when correctly designed and connected to an appropriate safety module or safety PLC.

Typical Applications

  • Machine guard and access door monitoring.
  • Packaging and production machinery.
  • Automated assembly equipment.
  • Robotic cells and perimeter guarding.
  • Food and beverage processing machinery.
  • Material handling and conveyor systems.
