Why Choose the Pizzato ST GD510MK-E1T ST G Series Safety Sensor?

The Pizzato ST GD510MK-E1T is a compact RFID safety sensor with high-level coded actuator designed for non-contact monitoring of guards, doors and access points on industrial machinery. Part of the Pizzato ST G series, it combines individually coded RFID actuator recognition with electronic safety outputs to provide dependable machine guarding and safety interlocking in modern automated production systems.

The ST GD510MK-E1T provides two safety inputs IS1–IS2, two safety outputs OS1–OS2, one signalling output O3 and one EDM input for External Device Monitoring. The GD510 configuration allows compatible downstream contactors or relays to be monitored as part of the safety function, while the safety inputs support series connection with compatible ST safety sensors.

Operating from a 24 V DC supply, this MK version features an integrated M12 stainless-steel connector for robust detachable wiring and is paired with the large SM E1T high-level coded RFID actuator. The E1T actuator provides an approximately 18 mm actuation distance, giving increased sensing clearance for applications where greater guard alignment tolerance is beneficial, while IP67 and IP69K protection supports installation in demanding industrial environments.

Key Advantages

  • Non-contact RFID safety sensing for reliable machine guard and access monitoring.
  • SM E1T high-level coded actuator provides individual RFID recognition and enhanced protection against manipulation.
  • 18 mm actuation distance provides increased positioning tolerance between sensor and actuator.
  • EDM input enables monitoring of compatible downstream contactors or relays.
  • Two safety inputs and two safety outputs support flexible industrial machine safety architectures.
  • M12 stainless-steel connector provides a robust detachable electrical connection for demanding machinery installations.

Advanced RFID Guard Monitoring with EDM Feedback

RFID safety sensors such as the Pizzato ST GD510MK-E1T monitor movable machine guards without requiring mechanical contact between the sensor and actuator. The high-level coded SM E1T actuator has an individual RFID code, so another high-level coded actuator is not recognised until a new association procedure is carried out. When the recognised actuator leaves the permitted detection zone, the electronic safety outputs change state so that the machine safety system can initiate the required safe response.

The GD510 configuration incorporates External Device Monitoring (EDM), allowing the forcibly guided NC contacts of compatible contactors or relays controlled by the sensor's safety outputs to be monitored. The EDM version can also be used at the end of a compatible series of ST sensors, providing machine builders with a compact solution for coded guard monitoring and downstream switching-device supervision.

Typical Applications

  • Machine guard doors and access panels.
  • Automated production and assembly machinery.
  • Robotic cells and manufacturing islands.
  • Machining centres and automated machine tools.
  • Packaging and processing equipment.
  • Machine safety circuits requiring external contactor or relay monitoring.
