The FL 979 uses a longitudinal rope-actuated head and a 2NC slow-action contact block (B9). Correctly tensioning the safety rope places the switch in its normal operating condition, while movement or loss of rope tension operates the contacts so the associated machine control circuit can initiate a stop. Positive-opening operation provides dependable mechanical opening of the safety contacts.
With an IP67 protection rating, an operating temperature range of -25 °C to +80 °C and contacts rated at 6 A at 250 V AC, the FL 979 is well suited to industrial safety applications.
