The Finder 18.5D.8.230.0000 is an advanced PIR movement and presence detector with DALI interface designed for intelligent indoor lighting control. Part of the Finder 18 Series, it combines movement and presence sensing, ambient-light measurement and DALI lighting control to provide efficient automatic illumination in offices, classrooms, workplaces and other commercial buildings.
Operating from a 110–230 V AC, 50/60 Hz supply, the detector can directly control up to 8 DALI electronic control gear (ECG) units. It provides two detection zones when installed at approximately 3 m height: an 8 × 8 m movement zone for transit or higher-activity areas and a more sensitive 4 × 4 m presence zone for areas where occupants may remain relatively still.
Three selectable lighting-control functions provide flexibility for different environments, including daylight-linked constant light level control, ON/OFF operation with early warning, and ON/OFF operation with early warning plus courtesy lighting. An adjustable ambient-light threshold of 10–800 lx, adjustable PIR sensitivity and selectable turn-off delay from 10 s to 35 min help optimise comfort and energy efficiency.
The Finder 18.5D.8.230.0000 combines PIR occupancy detection with ambient-light measurement and DALI control. In its daylight-linked constant light mode, the detector can regulate artificial lighting according to both occupancy and available daylight, increasing or reducing lighting output to maintain the required illumination level while helping minimise energy consumption.
Three selectable operating strategies allow the detector to be configured for different environments. Alongside constant-light regulation, it can provide ON/OFF control with an early warning before switch-off or ON/OFF control with early warning and a courtesy light level. Its separate movement and presence zones make it suitable for both circulation areas and workplaces where occupants may remain seated for extended periods.
