The Carlo Gavazzi BSH-LUX-U is a Smart-Dupline light intensity sensor designed for indoor and outdoor building automation applications. It measures ambient illumination and transmits the light-level value to a compatible Smart-Dupline controller, allowing lighting, shading and other automated functions to respond to changing daylight conditions.
With a measuring range of 0 to 20 kLux when connected to the SH2WEB24 platform, the BSH-LUX-U provides continuous light-level information for intelligent building-control functions. The sensor is powered directly from the Dupline bus, eliminating the need for a separate external power supply and helping simplify installation.
Designed for wall mounting, the BSH-LUX-U has a compact white housing and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation. Its IP44 protection rating and operating temperature range of -30 to +60 °C support use across a wide variety of building automation environments, while a yellow LED provides visual indication of correct Dupline bus operation.
Accurate ambient-light measurement allows building automation systems to adjust lighting and shading according to actual daylight conditions.
